Cocoa Cinnamon Pumpkin Seeds

Happy Hump Day peoples!  Why am I so in love with fall?  I wish I could just scoop it all up and put it in a box and keep it forever.

One favorite fall activity I have is carving pumpkins.  Not really for the fact of carving a crazy design or anything, but just to reap the benefits of getting a whole bunch of pumpkin seeds…for free (I know not really but it feels like it)!

Andy and I headed out last weekend to do some fun fall activities.  We even brought the pup since he’s all vaccinated and can be out in the world for real now.  Of course the pumpkin patch we went didn’t allow dogs so I had to go grab one myself…boring.

Anyways, once we got home I carved the pumpkin in about 20 minutes flat.  I had to get the seeds in the oven before Homeland! Continue reading

Bacon Guacamole

Hi friends! I hope everyone had a fabulous start to the week.  I’m feeling much better since snapping out of a little funk I was in last week.photo 2 (1)

Maybe I should add this recipe to one of the ways to instantly boost your mood!  This guacamole was delicious and we may or may not have scoffed the entire bowl down in one short sitting.

This was somehow the first time I’ve ever made guacamole!  My best friend and roommate of seven years makes the best guacamole in the world so I pretty much always left it to her.  Andy and I thought it would be a great little date night appetizer though so I decided to give it a whirl.

This recipe is super simple. One because Mr. Picky doesn’t like tomatoes or onions and two because if I can make a dish without chopping anything I’m sold. Continue reading

What I Ate Wednesday #4

Hi guys!  I’m just popping in quick for a little What I Ate Wednesday action hosted by Jenn at Peas and Crayons.  Does it make me a lazy blogger that a majority of my posts have been link ups for the past few weeks?!

I’m not going to sit here and “glorify” being busy but I have really had a ton going on between finishing Yoga Training and completing my final for that, work, and teaching my first classes!

Anywho…here are my somewhat repetitive eats from yesterday!

This week I decided to try and make my own cold brew!  Thanks to one of my readers who gave me directions on how easy it was!  You simply let coffee grounds and water sit over night and sift it through some cheese cloth the next day!  I mixed it with some water and almond milk and it made for a great train beverage on my commute!

When I got to work I had a banana with some homemade almond butter.  I like my bananas extra ripe, how about you?  I know that the more ripe = the more sugar, but they’re just so much better that way!
