What I Ate Wednesday #4

Hi guys!  I’m just popping in quick for a little What I Ate Wednesday action hosted by Jenn at Peas and Crayons.  Does it make me a lazy blogger that a majority of my posts have been link ups for the past few weeks?!

I’m not going to sit here and “glorify” being busy but I have really had a ton going on between finishing Yoga Training and completing my final for that, work, and teaching my first classes!

Anywho…here are my somewhat repetitive eats from yesterday!

This week I decided to try and make my own cold brew!  Thanks to one of my readers who gave me directions on how easy it was!  You simply let coffee grounds and water sit over night and sift it through some cheese cloth the next day!  I mixed it with some water and almond milk and it made for a great train beverage on my commute!

When I got to work I had a banana with some homemade almond butter.  I like my bananas extra ripe, how about you?  I know that the more ripe = the more sugar, but they’re just so much better that way!

Sorry for this unappetizing picture below but believe me when I tell you that left over slow cooked short ribs are just simply awesome for lunch!  We had made these on Sunday.  Threw them in the crock pot with Tessmae’s barbecue sauce and some balsamic. YUM!

For an afternoon pick me up, I took a walk and got a tall black iced coffee from Starbucks.  Thank you sunshine, caffeine, and Oprah for getting me through the afternoon!

I had to throw in a run scene picture.  I dragged Andy with me this time and of course the sunset wasn’t as spectacular as it has been…but it’s still so beautiful there!

After our run, we came home and made bacon and eggs with some spinach and avocado on the side.  Shocker!

For a little late night treat I had this delicious new dark chocolate I found at Whole Foods with some perfectly plump blueberries.

That’s all for now.  Can’t wait to read about other people’s eats so maybe I can start to change mine up for once!  Happy Hump Day!

That cold brew sounds so easy to make. I’m heading out camping this weekend and we have an unserviced site – cold brew may just be the way to go.

  2. Yum! Delicious day of eats! I LOVE Tessemaes and need to order some new bbq sauce ASAP! The Whole Foods only carries a few flavors which is frustrating… I just polished off a pint of organic blueberries from Whole Foods for lunch. So good right now!
