My Guest Blogging Revealed: Bodeefit

So I’ve been sort of quiet about my first Guest Blogging experience that I am lucky enough to have landed back in January.  I haven’t really talked about it here on The Primal Yogi but realize that I should be sharing with all of my readers!  Thanks to Jess at JessicaLawlor.com for the tips on linking your guest posts to your own site.

My guest blogging gig sort of happened organically and fell into my lap.  Back in December / January I came across an awesome site and phone app called Bodeefit.  Bodeefit offers daily body weight workouts, often high intensity interval training, with no equipment or gym required!  I absolutely loved being able to wake up on the morning of a busy day and get a complete work out in without ever leaving my bedroom!

Naturally, because when I love something I share it with the world wide web, I tweeted about Bodeefit.  Well, Adam Griffin, founder of Bodeefit, saw my tweet and asked me if I’d be interested in writing on the Bodeefit Blog.  Of course I said yes!  My focus would be incorporating yoga and what comes along with it into my 9 to 5 schedule in order to maintain a healthy and mindful lifestyle.

I’ve been writing one post a month since January already!  Here are a few of my favorite posts.  From here on out I will keep you guys in the loop when I am posting over on Bodeefit.

I definitely recommend trying out Bodeefit’s app, workout programs, and just becoming familiar with the community.  There is a wealth of knowledge related to health and wellness.  Enjoy!

Acknowledge the Progress

Happy Friday loves! I hope everyone had a fabulous week. Mine was pretty great and I definitely took my own advice to snap out of that little funk I was in a couple of weeks ago.

I can’t believe it’s already been two months since my final weekend of Yoga Teacher Training. It feels like it’s been two weeks but also feels like a lifetime ago at the same exact time. Weird how that happens.

I’m the type of person who is always looking forward to accomplishing something else. Adding to the bucket list and just trying to check things off. I realized, along with I’m sure many others, I consistently focus on the things I have yet to accomplish. In six months I want to do this, in a year I want to visit this place, in five years I want to be here.

Sometimes in the process of thinking up our dreams we can lose site of the progress we have already made. Having goals is important but the very end point shouldn’t be the only thing we are striving for. Because without all of the steps in between, the uphill battles, the downhill rides, we wouldn’t appreciate the accomplishment once we arrive, if we ever even do arrive.

Bacon Guacamole

Hi friends! I hope everyone had a fabulous start to the week.  I’m feeling much better since snapping out of a little funk I was in last week.photo 2 (1)

Maybe I should add this recipe to one of the ways to instantly boost your mood!  This guacamole was delicious and we may or may not have scoffed the entire bowl down in one short sitting.

This was somehow the first time I’ve ever made guacamole!  My best friend and roommate of seven years makes the best guacamole in the world so I pretty much always left it to her.  Andy and I thought it would be a great little date night appetizer though so I decided to give it a whirl.

This recipe is super simple. One because Mr. Picky doesn’t like tomatoes or onions and two because if I can make a dish without chopping anything I’m sold. Continue reading
