Yoga Teacher Training – Weekend Two

As I sit here trying to think of what I want to write about this past weekend I can’t help but smile.  My lips, my eyes, my heart are smiling.  I can tell this is going to be something big, something life-changing.  I can already tell you that this journey is going to teach me more than I’ve ever learned about this crazy, beautiful world we live in.

This weekend was a little bit different, and was led by a guest teacher David Martin.  David is the founder of Growth Vault, a company that helps businesses grow by executing a plan and putting it into action.  The foundations of his program can benefit anyone and everyone.

I am not going to go into detail of what we learned as I am definitely still processing a lot of it.  What I have taken away from it is that in the world we live in today, many times we stay in a place of fear or resistance, trying to keep control and be safe (of course this is very general and may not be everyone’s reality).  If we can try to move toward a state of openness, trust, and acceptance we can move a little bit easier through life.  This weekend was about becoming aware of these two states and moving from the first to the latter.

Without getting too deep or yogi on you (that seems to be happening fast :)) I will say this.  When you put a group of people in a room together who are on a journey to learn about something they love and something that teaches openness, gratefulness, love, and presence….well it creates something pretty freaking amazing.

  1. Having read both posts about your teacher training journey and all I can say is, HOW EXCITING! Sounds like it is truly a life changing experience! I look forward to continuing to read about your yoga journey 🙂
