Hey there! It’s been a little while, friends. I feel like I’ve been starting every blog post this way for the past 6 months. The truth is, is that since I started this blog two and a half years ago (whoa) a lot has changed in my life.
And as I’m writing these very words I am remembering that I wrote a very similar post back in October. In that post I realized how different my life looked from the first post on The Primal Yogi. And now even since October, there have been more changes like getting engaged!
So since I don’t think I will ever be ready to give up the blog completely I will just continue to contribute and share when I can. To give you a glimpse as to what I’ve been up to lately I thought I’d share some pictures from the past few months.
Work has looked very different for me. I am no longer sitting at a desk all day long. I am up on my feet, educating active people on some pretty cool clothes, and developing myself and my team so that we can all follow our dreams and reach our goals. Outside of actually working I am in the community trying out new workouts with my awesome team. Bar, SoulCycle, Crossfit, you name it! And of course still getting on my mat a few times a week.
I’ve also been able to practice my photog skills at work. This has been a super fun part of my job. What’s better than meeting like-minded people and capturing beautiful images of them?
My yoga teaching is going well! I teach two classes a week right now and recently taught my very first workshop!
I still get nervous every single time I teach! Which I guess is sort of a good thing? Stay uncomfortable right? I’ve also started to really try and build and promote my own ‘business’ as a yoga teacher. I created my own Facebook Page for The Primal Yogi finally! I’ve also been involved in helping promote the amazing, sweet studio I teach at. Yoga selfies on the beach? A pretty sweet gig if you ask me!
Andy and I had an awesome engagement party thrown for us! Wedding planning has started. The venue and DJ are booked. Next up this summer: wedding dress shopping!
I’ve been really trying to get outdoors with this little guy. He has a TON of energy so getting him on walks and hikes makes our lives a lot easier. And the training is slowly but surely coming along.
I am headed to Wanderlust in just three weeks! I am so over the moon excited about the teachers I will have the chance to meet and learn from. And this is all happening in the mountains of Vermont. I can not WAIT to share this weekend with you guys. Before I leave I am hosting a pre-festival event at Bend in Milford, CT. I will be teaching a Free class to live music, played by my talented friend. We will have amazing vendors afterwards as well including handmade malas and totes. If you are local, I’d love for you to join!
Well that’s all I have for you guys. I miss writing and I need to do it more often! Happy Friday, I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!
